What You'll Do- Load or assist in loading trailer with materials.
- Unload or assist in unloading trailer by using forklift or hand truck.
- Operate semi-truck with one or two trailers, according to state laws.
- Transport loads over required route to proper destinations, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct standard DOT truck inspection.
- Complete all company and DOT required paperwork.
- Complete shipping bills of lading, receive necessary signatures, and return completed paperwork to shipping office.
- Maintain any related records required.
- Perform miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, gasoline, and air in tires on a daily basis.
- Report any maintenance malfunctions to maintenance dept.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A CDL required; hazmat endorsement preferred.
- Must have a driving record that meets company standards.
- Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
The hourly range for this role, in Oxnard, CA, is between $18.00 – $27.00. Salary and benefits vary based on factors including experience, skill set, location, and other business needs. This description provides a general guideline and may differ from actual compensation.
