Shipping Coordinator - 1st Shift

Job Summary

We are looking for a Shipping Coordinator who will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy. The position will create shipping lists, logs, schedule and track pickup, and make sure that outgoing shipments are packed correctly to prevent damage or breakage in transit and are shipped to customer specifications.

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Create shipping lists and schedule truck pickups via UPS, Fed Ex, and Common Carrier.
• Complete shipping logs daily and verify delivered items against the packing slip.
• Receive and confirm inbound shipments to APP, Inc.
• Prepare documentation for international export shipments.
• Assist with annual vendor NAFTA solicitation process.
• Prepare free‑trade agreements for customers.
• Perform data entry duties including order processing, generating packing lists, invoices, and shipping documents.
• Communicate by telephone and email with internal personnel, customers, and vendors.
• Distribute receiving documents to accounting and purchasing.
• Locate inventory items in stockroom and deliver non‑inventory items.
• Operate fork truck.
• Print pick tickets and pick inventory efficiently to maintain on‑time shipments.
• Cycle count and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Quarantine defective parts and work with Quality/Production to repair or scrap parts.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months – 1 year experience with order entry, shipping, warehousing procedures, and shipping parts for aerospace, aviation, or automotive industries.
• International shipping experience highly desired.
• Forging manufacturing experience highly desired.
• Working knowledge of UPS, Fed Ex, and other common carriers and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of BOLs and shipping carriers (freight brokers, Fed Ex, UPS, etc.).
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet.

Compensation: $20.00 – $23.73 an hour. This is the range we currently anticipate; the final pay may vary.
