Research Engineer (Entry‑Level)
The Research Engineer works under the guidance of senior researchers or engineers to support research projects, conduct experiments, and analyze data. The role contributes to the development of new technologies, products, or processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and conducting research experiments or projects.
- Collect and analyze data using various tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with senior researchers or engineers to develop new technologies, products, or processes.
- Perform literature reviews and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.
- Assist in the design and construction of prototypes or experimental setups.
- Conduct tests and measurements to evaluate the performance of prototypes or experimental systems.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and proposing solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to share findings and insights.
- Stay updated with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Must possess appropriate level of certifications as required by the contract.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
- Bachelor's degree and zero to two (0‑2) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Required to sit, use hands to handle tools and controls, speak, hear, and occasionally stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
