The Electrical Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components for various projects. The role includes analyzing and troubleshooting electrical issues, developing solutions, and contributing to the optimization of electrical designs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Independently designs, develops, and tests electrical systems and components, adhering to project specifications and industry standards.
- Conducts detailed calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Collaborates with other engineers and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Leads small-scale projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.
- Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and methodologies.
- Must possess the appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
- Must have strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two to four (2‑4) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Physical DemandsThe physical ability to stand and/or walk frequently. May climb a ladder or scaffolding to heights in excess of 10’. Bend/stoop, push/pull and work above the shoulder frequently. Occasionally balance, kneel, crouch, and squat. Carry up to 25 pounds over distances up to 50 feet. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
