Information Technology Specialist; DATAMGT NF

Duties

• Under the lead of a full performance specialist, carries out highly structured, entry-level assignments in the design, development and maintenance of databases.
• Assists in returning disrupted database systems to normal operations. Creates reports and manipulates data in response to customer requirements.
• Communicates factual and procedural information clearly, orally, and in writing. Gathers and analyses basic facts and draws conclusions.
• Diagnoses and resolves basic data management problems and issues. Applies information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices.

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to obtain COMPTIA SECURITY+ certification within the first 90 days of employment.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.
  2 to include a Tier III background investigation.
• Attend Team Member Orientation within 30 days of employment.

• Possess a Bachelor's degree with a major study (minimum of twenty-four (24) semester hours) in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management. • Possess intensive training providing IT certification that has provided you with the demonstrated knowledge and skills in applying the following:
  Database management concepts, backup and recovery procedures, and commonly used query languages to create reports and manipulate data. Your training must be listed on your resume, and your completed IT certification must be uploaded with your application to be considered eligible for this position.
• Possess at least one (1) year of experience performing duties that have provided you with the knowledge and skill of database management concepts, backup and recovery procedures, and commonly used query languages to create reports and manipulate data. This experience must be included on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
• Possess a combination of the above listed experience, education and intensive training to provide you with the knowledge and skill of database management concepts, backup and recovery procedures, and commonly used query languages to create reports and manipulate data. Education, training and experience must be included on your resume AND transcripts and certifications must be uploaded at the time of application to be considered eligible for this position.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered 'Highly Preferred' or 'Best Qualified':

• Possess a current COMPTIA SECURITY+ certificate. This certification must be uploaded at the time of application to be considered best qualified.
