Facilities Manager - 18675

Description

This position is pending contract award. The anticipated start date is on October 1, 2026

The Facilities Manager leads all building and ground operations for the company supporting a Department of Defense contract. This role manages day ‑ to ‑ day maintenance, repair, environmental controls, and infrastructure sustainment across multiple contractor ‑ operated locations on or adjacent to a DoD installation. The Facilities Manager ensures all facilities remain safe, functional, and fully mission ‑ ready while meeting the performance standards, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations defined within the contract and government requirements.

The position serves as the primary interface between the company and government stakeholders for all facility ‑ related matters

What you will be responsible for:
  • Develop the facilities action plan.
  • Obtain necessary business permits.
  • Control the total maintenance of the facility.
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program including heating, air conditioning, maintenance, and repair of buildings and equipment.
  • Manage build ‑ outs, space development, and renovations for multiple facilities.
  • Coordinate relocations of offices and cubicles, furniture standards, and acquisition of furnishings.
  • Oversee projects completed by outside contractors and the DoD.
  • Coordinate and communicate build ‑ out activity with employees, building management, and contractors while maintaining a fully functioning office with minimal disruption.
  • Track and process invoices and all other payment related documents from architects, contractors, and consultants.
  • Interface with company executives, department heads, and technical support to analyze, define, and meet the company’s needs.
  • Oversee complete fire and alarm system.
  • Facilitate fire evacuation and disaster response planning in accordance with all DoD and local requirements; serve as Facility Emergency Response Coordinator.
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal programs.
  • Maintain up ‑ to ‑ date records for all state, federal, and insurance semiannual and annual inspections.
  • Arrange and coordinate all moves.
  • Oversee cleaning companies and other facility contractors.
  • Coordinate with Fort Rucker DPW on all government owned facilities to manage maintenance responsibilities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), eight years’ equivalent related experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least eight years of related experience managing maintenance contracts and facility plans.
  • Experience leading team members performing facilities maintenance, build ‑ outs , relocations, and related responsibilities.
  • Experience in cubicle and office design, build ‑ out and relocation.
  • Minor electrical repair capability (desired).
  • In order to access the Fort Rucker site, U.S. citizenship is required.
