Fire Alarm Technician Trainee

We are seeking a motivated Alarm Technician Trainee to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the fire protection and life safety industry.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Respond to service calls for troubleshooting and repair of existing fire alarm and low-voltage systems

* Assist with programming and testing of fire alarm and related systems

* Participate in rotating on-call schedule (after-hours service response when assigned)

* Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and product manuals

* Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.

* Work in unusual or confined spaces including ladders, lifts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings

* Utilize a variety of hand and power tools

* Maintain professional relationships with customers and their staff

* Work flexible hours including occasional weekends and overtime as required

* Overnight travel may be required

Qualifications

* Experience installing or servicing Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, or CCTV systems preferred

* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

* OSHA 10 certification preferred (not required)

* Ability to successfully pass a drug test

* Must pass background check to obtain required licensing

* Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
