As part of our Range Maintenance crew, you will report to the Crew Chief and be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with the operation and maintenance of the GRC and its accompanying facilities and equipment.

• Repairs training support items on ranges and training areas; study specifications; measure, mark, and cut boards using patterns, templates, rulers, pencils, and hand and power saws.
• Fasten or install parts using hammers, nailing machines, or power staplers; repair defective training aids by replacing damaged parts and inserting wood bracings.
• Build wall facades and target frames using rulers, hand tools, and pneumatic nail guns.
• Fabricate, repair, modify, and replace woodwork training structures and apply preservatives to prolong wood life.
• Perform general maintenance repair to buildings, structures, fences, concrete, asphalt pads, range support facilities, LRC obstacles, and similar training support structures.
• Cut grass using walking-type or riding mowers (less than 2000 lbs.).
• Trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds, and wells, using hedge trimmers, clippers and edging tools.
• Clean comfort stations, offices, workshop areas and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping and polishing.

• Work is primarily outdoor with temperature variations.
• Physical profile: 35% standing, 40% walking, 5% stooping, 10% reaching, 10% lifting.
• Ability to perform under rugged conditions is required.
• Lift items up to 40 lbs. alone and over 40 lbs. with assistance.
• Normal work hours Monday–Friday 0600–1430; possibility of rotating shifts.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in construction and maintenance.
• Current driver’s license; must be insurable under company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during work hours and employment.
• U.S. citizenship required; must obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD NACI Clearance before start date and throughout employment.
• All candidates must pass background screening (SSN, driver record, and criminal background). Pre‑employment drug screening is required; offers contingent on successful screening.
