Salary Grade: Federal Wage Determination or Collective Bargaining Agreement
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position SummaryUnder general supervision, the Carpenter performs carpentry duties necessary to the maintenance and good repair of building woodwork and equipment. It requires practical skill and knowledge in carpentry, and attention to knowing and using safe work practices.
Typical Duties* Denotes Essential Job Function
Minimum Qualifications- One year work experience in carpentry, or demonstrated knowledge and ability to properly use tools of the trade.
- Mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; measurement of dimensions.
- May be required to own, use, and maintain tools at work.
- Ability to manage and accurately track material resources and time, and adapt to changing work priorities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow established safety rules and regulations.
- Effective communication skills to give and request information, to respond to customer inquiries and requests, vendors, management and co-workers.
- Demonstrated organizational and common sense skills, including ability to diagnose issues, problem-solve and elevate matters appropriately.
- Ability to work independently and with co-workers, customers and management.
- Ability to travel to various facilities.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical/other training
- Valid Driver's License
- Maneuvering to and around equipment
- Bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching
- Climbing stepstools or ladders
- Lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Work is performed at a customer’s location in office, shop, warehouse, or outdoor environment. May require driving to and from worksite locations. Equipment can be located in crawl spaces, rooftops, and outside facility. Employees may be exposed to hazardous and/or toxic substances, electrical shock, noise from equipment, and depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat.
