The Warehouse Specialist will verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damage, routing materials to prescribed storage locations.

• Perform a variety of warehousing duties requiring understanding of the establishment's storage plan and Installation Logistics Systems.
• Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; route materials to prescribed storage locations; store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearrange and take inventory of stored materials; examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage; remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
• May operate hand and power trucks (Forklifts) in performing warehousing duties.
• Perform all duties efficiently.
• Maintain equipment and clean work areas to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure tasks performed safely, wearing appropriate PPE (gloves, safety shoes, protective eyewear, hearing protection, aprons, outerwear as appropriate).
• Receive, identify, and securely store hazardous materials in designated facility zones.
• Utilize computerized inventory systems (e.g., GCSS-Army or activity databases).
• Package, load, and unload hazardous materials for transport between storage areas, shops, and primary disposal sites.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum six (6) months of experience in supply chain, warehouse logistics, or hazardous material handling.
• OSHA Hazardous Communication Certification.
• RCRA Hazardous Waste Handling Certification.
• Environmental Course Certification.
• DOD Hazardous Material/Hazardous Waste Handler Course Certification.
• Hazardous Waste Central Accumulation Area (CAA) Training Certification.
• Forklift Certification.
• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification Preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, and reach as required to work on equipment.
• Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions when necessary.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Regularly required to sit and talk or hear. May use repeated motions that include arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Might occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires close vision.
