As the Assistant Controller, you'll support the day-to-day financial operations of the business while helping leadership maintain accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes

• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation

• Support payroll processing and maintain payroll records

• Monitor cash flow and review financial transactions for accuracy

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

• Maintain organized and confidential accounting records

• Support audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compliance

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls

• Provide financial information and administrative support to company leadership

We're seeking an organized, dependable accounting professional who enjoys accuracy, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Qualified candidates should have:

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial administration, or a similar accounting role

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

• Professional discretion when handling confidential financial information

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

• Experience supporting payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, or month-end close

• Experience working in a service, construction, plumbing, HVAC, or restoration business is a plus
