Job Summary
Work closely with the Facilities Event Operations Coordinator in the day-to-day setup and teardown of events held at James River Church and other duties as assigned. Responsibility consists of all aspects in maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the South Campus at James River Church.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties- Provide support for event set-up and tear-down, including but not limited to large Special Events, as noted in the Church Calendar, and directed by the Facilities Event Operations Coordinator.
- Special Events are to be noted as "all hands-on deck" and may be mandatory.
- To create work plans necessary to accomplish objectives and goals as agreed upon by the Facilities Event Operations Coordiantor.
- Continually keep equipment related to set up and logistics organized, clean, maintained, and repaired.
- Responsible for helping maintain inventory of tables, chairs, and other building support equipment.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas as directed by the Facilities Event Operations Coordinator.
- Have a working knowledge of the Church Calendar and work closely with the Facilities Event Operations Coordinator.
- Maintain and update all assigned daily and weekly checklists and reports as directed by the Facilities Event Operations Coordinator.
- Assist Custodial Manager or Maintenance team after all setups have been completed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned and required.
- Actively participate in all-church events with the ability to work extra hours as directed by your supervisor.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of the operation and minor maintenance of custodial equipment.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail.
- Possess effective human relations and communication skills to work proactively with staff and the community.
- Ability to make independent decisions, issue clear and concise oral and written instructions, and follow the same as required.
- Ability to read and correctly interpret SDS (Safety Data Sheets).
- Exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers, and the public.
- Be able to manage multiple projects at once with no decline in quality control.
- Flexibility with working in a culture of improvement.

- Maintain a high level of personal integrity, honesty, and confidentiality in dealing both with the staff and congregation.
- Maintain a Christian outlook and attitude at all times.
- Maintain loyalty to the staff and church, actively promoting unity within the church.
