The Controller will oversee all accounting functions and financial activities while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of company financial records. This individual will play a critical role in financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to provide financial guidance that supports company objectives.
Responsibilities- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial partners
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to company leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial performance
- Oversee financial record retention and reporting requirements
- Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Experience with in a service, construction, plumbing, HVAC, restoration, or field service organization is a plus
