Diesel Engine Mechanic

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience and personal tools.

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:30pm;
Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm.

• Proficiently use the required equipment and tools for diesel engine prep, inspection, and disassembly.
• Recognize acceptable and defective parts and complete the process as appropriate.
• Abide by company policies such as attendance, safety, processes, teamwork, and training.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Hands‑on diesel engine experience.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Basic understanding of the function of each part of a vehicle.
• Ability to use hand tools, air tools, and torches.
• Adherence to company policies related to attendance, safety, teamwork, and training.

• Regular sitting, standing, bending, and moving.
• Lifts up to 75lbs.
• Works outside in various types of weather.
• Exposure to hydraulic oils, motor oils, antifreeze, and diesel fuels.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and office environment.
• Moderately loud noise level.
• Must be able to tolerate high and low temperatures, occasional inclement driving conditions, and not have lifting restrictions or be afraid of heights.
