Warehouse Manager

An energetic, motivated individual is required to be employed in the role of warehouse manager

Applicant must have relevant experience in a warehouse environment and these specific skills:

• Excellent administrative ability and organisational skills
• Work proficiently on a laptop, managing email communications, spreadsheets etc – training on our in-house electronic delivery note program will be provided.
• Logistics and supply chain management
• Strong communication and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to drive a Hyster.

The role will entail managing all key aspects of the Warehouse, with core responsibilities being:

• Preparing customer orders- overseeing and giving instructions on the preparation and delivery of customer orders
• Inventory management- managing the receipt and offloading of stock/containers. Checking and making note of any damages upon receipt. Stock control, stocktakes, stock rotation, management of stock variances.
• Quality Control- conducting quality control tests on stock received (training will be provided) & making records of this and giving feedback to the relevant parties.
• Warehouse layout, housekeeping – ensuring that the warehouse layout is in order and organised and well as managing daily housekeeping.
• Supervision of warehouse staff- managing the warehouse team and setting their daily tasks and duties.
• Logistics- managing of delivery routes as well as planning the off loading and delivery dates of stock received.
• Safety and compliance – ensuring health and safety rules and regulations are followed.
• Equipment checks and maintenance- managing the service history and conducting equipment safety checks on the Hyster and delivery vehicles/trailers.
