About the Role

Our client is seeking an eager 'Apprentice Welder ' to join their workshop in Paarl . This apprenticeship program is designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful career in welding. You will learn various welding techniques, safety procedures, and blueprint interpretation under the guidance of experienced professionals. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a keen eye for detail, and is committed to mastering a vital trade skill in the manufacturing and construction sectors.

• Assist certified welders in preparing metal surfaces for welding.
• Learn and practice various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints and technical specifications.
• Perform basic metal cutting and grinding tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.

• Completion of Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
• A strong interest in welding and fabrication, with a desire to become a qualified welder .
• Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
• Ability to work safely and follow instructions carefully.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various positions and environments.
