Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join their production facility in Paarl . This role is critical for maintaining the electrical systems and equipment that power our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of all industrial electrical systems, ensuring safety and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial electrical codes and best practices, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving electrical issues.
This hands-on position is essential for ensuring continuous production flow and workplace safety.
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components in the manufacturing plant.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and technical schematics.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
- Ensure all work complies with the South African National Standards (SANS) and other relevant electrical codes and regulations.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints , schematics, and technical manuals.
- Respond to electrical emergencies and perform necessary repairs swiftly and safely.
- Qualified Industrial Electrician with a recognized trade qualification (e.g., N3 or equivalent).
- Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems , motors, PLCs, and power distribution.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations for electrical work.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to work overtime as needed.
