Position requires in‑role training at an operating site that lasts 2+ weeks, located 50+ miles from the home site. All travel accommodations for training are booked and paid for by Amazon.

Role requires flexibility for 10‑hour overnight shifts (late afternoon to early morning). Shifts are scheduled on a front‑half (Sunday–Wednesday) or back‑half (Wednesday–Saturday) schedule, and may change based on business need.

Amazon’s Worldwide Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to customers daily. As an Area Manager you will lead a team of hourly employees, driving safety, quality, attendance, and performance, while ensuring customer orders are delivered on time to the correct location.

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with support teams—Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, Human Resources—to create plans that meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and stair climbing for shifts up to 12 hours
• Work in environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and weather, including outside loading departments and refrigerated grocery locations
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and overnight shifts

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

• 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques

Position includes a 2+ week in‑role training at an operating site 50+ miles from the home location. Amazon will cover all travel costs.

Base salary range: USD 70,000.00 – 90,900.00 annually (USA, KY, Paducah). Compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
