Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Risk Manager/Analyst

Join Amazon’s mission to become Earth’s safest place to work. We are seeking a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead the safety program, protect our associates, and drive operational excellence across the site.
Responsibilities- Be the site's safety champion, leading the Global WHS Program implementation and integrating safety with operations.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions to protect associates while supporting productivity.
- Lead safety compliance efforts, perform thorough site audits, analyze incident trends, and target improvements where they matter most.
- Manage the first aid program and emergency response capabilities to ensure immediate care is available.
- Build relationships and influence safety culture through leadership, communication, and engagement of associates in the safety mission.
- Monitor and improve safety performance by measuring against WHS policies, conducting audits, and addressing non-compliance issues.
- Travel 50–70% of the time and work various shifts as required.
- Safety Leadership & Innovation — Drive continuous improvement, leverage data analytics, and implement preventive safety measures to protect associates and enhance operations.
- Strategic Partnership & Influence — Partner with Operations leadership to embed safety into the business, oversee recordkeeping, WHS training, and related programs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
- Certified Safety Professional.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leadership.
- Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package may include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
