Our client in Kentucky is actively seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for an 84-day assignment starting Apr 20, 2026. This role involves clinic duties Monday through Friday, along with 24-hour weekend call and weeknight call after clinic, managing the emergency room for call and performing a range of orthopedic procedures including elective surgeries, trauma, joint, and fracture repairs.
Responsibilities and Duties- Perform clinic duties Monday through Friday, including patient consultations.
- Serve as the primary Orthopedic Physician on call, managing the emergency room for 24-hour weekend call.
- Manage weeknight call after clinic hours.
- Conduct typical elective surgeries.
- Perform amputations, if able.
- Provide typical rounding, patient consults, and follow-ups.
- Handle callbacks for typical trauma joint and fracture repairs, including hip replacements.
- No spine surgeries are required for this role.
- Hand surgery is not a requirement, but a plus if able to perform as needed.
- Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery required.
- EMR:
Meditech EHR. - Must be comfortable with typical elective surgeries.
- Ability to perform amputations preferred.
- No spine surgeries are required.
