PhD in nursing preferred or PhD degree in an associated field with a master’s degree in nursing.
Required Experience- A strong record of collaborative extramural research, education, scholarship, and service to the profession commensurate with appointment as professor with tenure in an area of specialization offered by the College.
- A history of successful externally funded research as PI and trajectory for continuation of externally funded research.
Active Kentucky license as a registered nurse, or eligibility to obtain.
Job SummaryThe College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky invites exceptional candidates to apply for a full-time, 12-month Regular Title Series, tenure-eligible position, open rank of Associate or full Professor. We anticipate a start date no later than July 1, 2026, and earlier start date can be negotiated. This is an on‑site position based in Lexington, KY. We seek candidates who use innovative approaches to address important and challenging problems in all aspects of nursing science.
We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in research focused on addressing Kentucky’s major health concerns (cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, asthma) and commitment to graduate education and mentorship. Research start‑up funds are negotiable.
The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of grantsmanship and productivity in health‑related research, a commitment to education, and collaborative, community‑engaged research/scholarship. The candidate may teach at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels; actively participate in service to the university, profession, faculty, staff, trainees, and students. The role serves as a primary researcher and mentor for early‑stage and mid‑career scientists.
