Job Summary

The Technical Training Program Designer – Nuclear Workforce Programs collaborates with industry partners, faculty, and workforce staff to design and develop customized, industry-aligned training programs that prepare individuals for careers in nuclear energy, advanced manufacturing, and related supply chain industries through WKCTC's Workforce Solutions division. This role ensures short-term workforce training aligns with regional demand and industry standards while also exploring opportunities to embed nuclear industry competencies into existing academic programs.

Job Duties
  • Curriculum & Program Development — Ability to design and structure short-term technical workforce training, develop instructional materials, and build stackable credential pathways aligned with industry standards.
  • Industry Translation — Skill in converting employer workforce needs and identified skill gaps into practical, career‑ready training programs and academic pathway integrations.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement — Ability to work effectively across industry partners, faculty, workforce staff, and advisory groups to guide program development and implementation.
  • Project Management — Strong organizational skills to manage multiple program development initiatives, documentation requirements, and implementation timelines simultaneously.
  • Labor Market & Workforce Analysis — Ability to participate in needs assessments and interpret labor market data to ensure training aligns with regional nuclear and advanced manufacturing workforce demand.
  • Grant Support & Reporting — Familiarity with grant‑funded workforce initiatives and the administrative and documentation responsibilities that accompany them.
  • Nuclear/Technical Industry Fluency (preferred) — Working knowledge of the nuclear energy ecosystem, related supply chain industries, or regulatory training environments.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Workforce Development, Education, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.

Experience in curriculum development, workforce training program design, or technical education.
