Webasto Americas is hiring a Quality Engineer to advance mobility technology and provide sustainable solutions.

Location & Salary

Lexington, KY • $80,000.00 – $95,000.00
• Full‑time
• Mid‑Senior level

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain laboratory methods, product certifications, and ensure compliance with applicable government and customer regulations.
  • Analyze and resolve product issues with suppliers and customers, prioritizing actions based on severity, risk, and customer impact.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support quality planning during new product development and provide post‑SOP quality support.
  • Create and maintain control plans, inspection instructions, PPAP documentation, and ISIR data approvals.
  • Implement warranty reduction initiatives and provide certification and validation for new gauges and quality equipment.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities using structured problem‑solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5‑Why, Fishbone).
  • Monitor, analyze, and report quality performance metrics and trends to drive continuous improvement and sustained compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with 3+ years in quality roles within automotive production.
  • Certified Quality Engineer preferred, with knowledge of FMVSS/ECE certification, laboratory operation (A2LA), metrology, and CMM.
  • Proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC), geometric tolerancing, and blueprint reading.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience performing process capability and laboratory tests.
  • Team‑oriented mindset; knowledge of automotive glass and glass lamination processes is a plus.
