Systems Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer
Job Summary:
Reports directly to the System Engineering Manager. Responsible for the technical support of centrifuge manufacturing and support equipment. Serves as the subject matter expert for assigned systems and components and provides an interface between Engineering and centrifuge manufacturing departments.
What You will be Doing:Provide support for construction activities and systems testing/turnover, to ensure facilities and systems are capable of meeting manufacturing requirements
Lead process development and improvement activities by providing input on process flow, layout, equipment, tooling, and manning requirements to ensure process safety and effective process management
Develop and maintain effective and accurate manufacturing process documentation, procedures, work instructions, FMEA, control plans, and flow charts
Provide input on design and development of manufacturing equipment and tooling
Provide technical support for troubleshooting, corrective actions, and process improvements
Understand complex mechanical drawings and specifications
Ensure all changes are made in compliance with regulatory requirements, through the performance of change evaluations
Produce technical reports, literature reviews, and progress updates; present findings and status briefings to stakeholders and senior management.
Support generation of specific system design requirements (SRDs)
Bachelor of science degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
At least 5 years engineering experience preferred
Mechanical engineering discipline preferred
Effective in multiple communication modes with various vendors, suppliers, and internal team members
Possess effective oral and written communication skills
Be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance
Currently possess a “Q” level security clearance
Manufacturing/Assembly experience and/or aptitude
Experience with high vacuum systems and equipment
Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
