DFES Radio Communications section is a dynamic, innovative, and fast paced team that values diversity. It maintains an extensive network of radio communications repeater sites and terminal devices used for critical and routine voice communications throughout the state of Western Australia. This position will administer the MEX CMMS asset management and maintenance system that helps us keep track of the radio assets for maintenance, configuration and life cycle management.

• Able to administer a CMMS or similar asset management and maintenance system, improve on data collection and data accuracy of the assets and assets details, and provided user training and assistance within a small team.
• Efficient in data entry and in recognising and correcting data discrepancies within a CMMS or similar system
• Self-sufficient, organised and analytical.
• Able to work with multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to prioritise and deliver outcomes to tight deadlines.
• A problem solver with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including people from a technical and non-technical background.

• Administer the MEX CMMS and be the subject matter expert for issues and problems that arise. You’ll create and run reports as required, identify and rectify data integrity issues, and maintain data integrity standards.
• Create, move and update assets and asset configuration details.
• Generate, asset validate and close out work orders in support of the asset maintenance and user requests.
• Create, update and maintain the CMMS user processes and procedures, provide user training, administer user access and system security.
• Assist the Radio communications support coordinator with annual preventative maintenance work order generation and scheduling.

This is a diverse role with a variety of related tasks. You will not need technical knowledge or knowledge of radio communications to be successful in this role, however demonstrating your effectiveness to be a fast learner is essential.
