People Cert is currently seeking a Credit Control Assistant to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the company’s credit control operations, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and maintaining healthy customer relationships. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners to support effective cash flow management and contribute to the company’s financial stability and growth.
Asa Credit Control Assistant, your tasks will include the following:
- Follow and enhance internal credit control processes and company credit policy, ensuring compliance and best practices across all transactions.
- Monitor and review aged debt reports regularly, identifying opportunities to maximize cash collection and minimize overdue balances.
- Ensure timely debt payments while maintaining positive, long‑term relationships with customers—balancing firmness with professionalism.
- Perform accurate account reconciliations, keeping customer ledgers up to date and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Manage and maintain the corporate credit insurance policy to safeguard company receivables and reduce financial exposure.
- Negotiate repayment plans with clients in a proactive and solution‑oriented manner.
- Assess new credit applications, review customer creditworthiness, and provide recommendations to support sound financial decisions.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with internal teams and external clients, acting as a trusted partner in all credit‑related matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (or a related discipline).
- 1–2 years’ experience in Credit Control or a similar finance role—experience in a multinational or fast‑paced corporate environment will be considered a strong advantage.
- Excellent command of English (C2 level)—a Language Cert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certification will be considered a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create pivot tables, use complex formulas, and perform data analysis to support decision‑making.
- Strong computer literacy, with ECDL Advanced level certification highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a confident, professional approach to internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities, able to identify discrepancies and propose effective solutions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
