Rivercrest Place Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive program of activities that promote the emotional, social, mental, and physical well‑being of our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals in our care and a talent for creating engaging and meaningful activity programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly activity schedules that meet the needs and interests of residents.
- Plan and oversee a variety of events, workshops, outings, and social gatherings to stimulate residents' cognitive, physical, and spiritual growth.
- Ensure all activities comply with current professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with caregivers, families, and the interdisciplinary team to tailor activities to individual residents' preferences and capabilities.
- Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for residents, families, and staff.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs on an ongoing basis and make improvements as necessary.
- Manage resources, including materials and budgeting, for program activities.
- Foster positive relationships with volunteers and community partners to enhance program offerings.
- Proven experience in activity planning or a similar role, ideally within a healthcare or assisted living environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing innovative activity programming.
- Familiarity with the specific needs of elderly or special needs populations is highly valued.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential is a plus.
