- Masters Degree in Medical Physics required.
- Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Physics.
- Minimum five years’ experience in the operation of various pieces of radiation related equipment within the department.
- Must have experience with SBRT, SRS, and HDR. Preference to Varian equipment including Truebeam, Aria, and Eclipse.
- Full time position, Monday-Friday.
- The range is between $172K-$225K depending on experience.

- Responsible for creating, implementing and monitoring the procedures which best allow treatment using radiation. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of care in the use of radiation-producing sources and imaging equipment and the protection of patients and staff from radiation. The incumbent will be accountable for calibrating all radiation therapy equipment, conducting X-ray machine performance surveys, and implementing procedures to ensure quality control for electronic imaging devices.
- Follow guidelines set forth by AAPM, ASTRO, ACR, and ACRO.
- Contribute to development of therapeutic techniques, collaborate with radiation oncologists to design treatment plans, and monitor equipment and procedures to ensure that cancer patients receive the prescribed dose of radiation to the correct location.
- Provide clinical service and consultation, research and development of new procedures and techniques, and teaching.
- Accountable for the support and assistance to Physicians of Radiation Oncology and Senior Leadership by providing patient safety measures, strategic leadership, analysis, and direction.
- Collaborate for equipment inventory to assure all treatment equipment is calibrated to standard including monitoring devices, treatment planning systems, computerized water phantom systema with appropriate ionization chamber and diodes.
- Position will report to the Director who is well respected within the organization. They average 30-40 patients/day.
