The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a broad range of human resources functions with a strong emphasis on employee relations, policy implementation, recruitment, and employee engagement. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistent employee experiences across all company locations, managing dispute resolution, supporting compliance initiatives, and contributing to a positive, productive work environment.
Responsibilities Policy Development & Compliance- Assist with writing, updating, and implementing company policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies align with federal, state, and local labor laws, including multi‑state compliance.
- Educate managers and employees on updated policies and expectations.
- Monitor compliance trends and recommend policy revisions as needed.
- Manage employee disputes, behavioral concerns, and workplace conflicts.
- Conduct thorough investigations and ensure timely, fair, and consistent handling of employee violations.
- Guide managers through progressive disciplinary action while maintaining compliance with company policy and labor laws.
- Document all employee relations activities accurately and confidentially.
- Manage and audit company bonus programs to ensure accuracy, fairness, and timely processing.
- Collaborate with leadership and finance teams to maintain consistency in bonus calculations.
- Track eligibility and follow established guidelines to prevent discrepancies.
- Oversee the company’s incident reporting process and monitor incoming incident tickets.
- Respond promptly to incidents, gather details, and coordinate follow‑up with appropriate individuals.
- Maintain organized and compliant documentation for all incidents.
- Create, manage, and evaluate employee engagement programs, including Employee of the Month, recognition initiatives, and satisfaction surveys.
- Recommend new programs that enhance workplace culture, morale, and employee retention.
- Support implementation of employee experience strategies across all locations.
- Assist with recruitment for a variety of company positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and desired qualifications.
- Support the development and promotion of internal career pathway programs to increase employee advancement and retention.
- Utilize sourcing tools and ATS systems to attract qualified candidates.
- Assist with planning and executing annual in‑clinic training sessions for employees.
- Facilitate training on new programs, processes, and policy updates.
- Maintain training documentation and track completion across locations.
- Support operational leaders with change management efforts.
- Provide high‑level professional verbal and written communication in all HR interactions.
- Work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Travel frequently to clinics and regional locations as required.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field
- Minimum of 3‑5 years relevant human resources experience, including employee relations, dispute resolution, and recruiting.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience in training and rolling out organizational processes.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best business practices
- Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
- SHRM/PHR Certificate preferred
- Experience with HR management software (Paylocity preferred)
- Based out of: 1700 W Higgins Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60018 with regular travel to company locations

8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
