Overview
The Senior Product Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager, Product & Search. The Senior Product Manager, Search Experience is a technical and strategic leader responsible for advancing search capabilities across Cardinal Health’s pharmaceutical e-commerce platform. The role owns the full end-to-end search experience—including usability, data quality, performance, and feature innovation—while partnering closely with internal teams and Coveo to deliver scalable, intuitive, and data-rich search that helps customers efficiently find and purchase products.
This position drives long-term strategy for embedded search, site-wide search expansion, mobile search integrations, and new experiences enabled by platform enhancements.
- Own the complete customer search experience across the ordering channel, ensuring high usability, accuracy, performance, and engagement.
- Lead integration and optimization of search features—including filtering, faceting, sort logic, product tagging, and allocation visibility.
- Oversee search design and UI placement across all surfaces (header search, embedded search, mobile app search, and future site-wide search).
- Drive strategy for expanding search beyond product catalog content (documents, resources, support content).
- Partner with mobile teams and Coveo to define and execute mobile search capabilities.
- Ensure complete, accurate metadata and product attributes used for filtering, sorting, and search result display.
- Optimize how product data appears in results, including substitutes, key attributes, statuses, and customer-specific details such as pricing and availability.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and search-related specifications for engineering, UX, analytics, and Coveo.
- Improve discoverability and ordering efficiency through relevance enhancements, UI refinements, and null-search solutions leveraging supplemental data.
- Manage the Coveo relationship, coordinating feature development, platform capabilities, and technical support.
- Stay current on Coveo releases and industry best practices; assess new capabilities and advocate for customer-facing needs in roadmap planning.
- Build and maintain a long-term search roadmap that includes future use cases beyond on-site product search.
- Partner with analytics and Search Ops to monitor search performance, relevance impacts, ML model insights, and customer behavior to inform improvements.
- Track emerging search technologies and e-commerce trends to guide strategic decisions.
- Experience driving product strategy for embedded search, site-wide search, or mobile search experiences.
- Familiarity with search platform release cycles and assessing new capabilities for customer-facing impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; MBA or technical master’s degree preferred.
- 8–12 years of digital product management experience preferred, ideally in e-commerce search
- Experience with Coveo or similar enterprise search platforms, particularly in B2B or healthcare.
- Strong understanding of product data structures, metadata attribution, and customer-specific data integration.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Experience with filtering logic, faceted search, sort algorithms, and UI/UX design for search interfaces.
- Familiarity with APIs, data modeling, and cloud-based search infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including vendor coordination.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with search analytics tools (e.g., Coveo Usage Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical e-commerce preferred.
Anticipated salary range: $105,100 - $150,100
