The Logistics Supervisor oversees daily logistics, shipping, and packaging operations to support safe, efficient, and reliable product movement within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role provides leadership to Packaging & Loading personnel, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports operational excellence across logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Packaging & Loading personnel and oversee daily logistics operations
- Provide guidance on safety, environmental performance, and daily production goals
- Conduct training and placement for new employees joining the department
- Lead department safety meetings and communicate safety-related data
- Interface with regulatory agencies such as DOT and USCG as needed
- Schedule all packaging, loading, unloading, and raw material receipt activities
- Ensure proper maintenance of transportation and production equipment to promote safe and reliable operations
- Administer labor agreements and support resolution of labor issues in partnership with HR
- Support capital project implementation and reinforce a strong “Safety First” culture
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and/or chemical plant environments
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for managing personnel
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively across audiences
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills with the ability to innovate and implement solutions
- Experience supervising hourly personnel in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with bulk, rail, or river logistics operations
- Working knowledge of DOT, USCG, OSHA 29

Primarily day shift; however, the role may require nights and weekends as operational needs arise.
