A food manufacturing organization is looking to appoint an EHS Manager. The incumbent willbe responsible foraligning site specific Environmental Health and Safety processes with business goals and to engage employees to promote behaviors that will achieve the highest levels of productivity in the safest possible manner. The incumbent will establish, implement, and oversee all EHS programs.

• Align corporate and local EHS goals and strategies
• Lead EHS audits and inspections, developing remediation plans as needed
• Lead multi-media environmental compliance including, but not limited to:
  Water (waste, storm);
  Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous);
  Air (external emissions)
• Lead continuous improvement initiative regarding EHS policies and programs
• Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations
• Lead employee training programs regarding EHS behaviors and compliance
• Complete accident investigations and serious incident reports
• Recommend corrective/preventative measureswhereindicated
• Interact with regulatory bodies and represent the company at local, state, and federal regulatory meetings
• Determine the need for industrial hygiene monitoring (air, noise, heat stress, etc.) and conduct the monitoring or coordinate the monitoring with the appropriate agency
• Review the results of industrial hygiene sampling and compare toestablishedregulatory limits
• Participate in Quality Assurance reviews within the facility
• Assistin 3rd party audits and inspectionspertaining tofood safety and regulatory compliance
• Manage emergency management programs
• Manage safety budget
• Develop and drive a safety committee team

• Ability to remain organized while handling several projects and tasks independently in fast-paced environment.

• Ability to lead efficient and effective compliance programsregardingfederal, state, and local Safety and Multi-Media Environmental regulations, including but not limited to Title V, RCRA, SPCC
• Driving safe metrics downward whilemaintainingcompliance with all federal and state safety regulations

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Environmental Health & Safety or related discipline

• Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related discipline
