About the roleAs the Vice President, General Manager you will lead and safely manage site operations at a major Department of Energy facility. You will be the contact for overall operational performance. As the primary contact with the Department of Energy and all partners, you will lead safe and profitable operations. This project leader is accountable for direct project revenue over $300 million annually and an organization of 1500+ employees at the DUF6 conversion facilities in Ohio and Kentucky.
You will report to the President, Westinghouse Government Services and work onsite at either the Ohio or Kentucky site.
Lead interactions with the Department of Energy and the Project Leadership Teams for managing all site activities to exceed overall project goals and the annually established Performance Evaluation and Measurement Plan (PEMP).
Direct the site-wide performance of project resources.
Lead site teams and select organization leaders, assign responsibilities, and meet customer safety and quality commitments.
Acquire and deploy resources to meet specific requirements and organize and mobilize them for maximum efficiency, responsiveness, safety, and quality, directing the leadership team.
Ensure critical skills pipeline development through comprehensive workforce planning, employee development, and succession planning.
Implement the vision for project performance, providing centralized leadership and instilling a safety-conscious work environment. Lead strategic planning to maximize site-wide resource efficiency and improve capabilities and missions.
Oversee and authorize contract negotiations and contract modification approvals.
Establish and foster collaborative relationships with the Department of Energy, oversight groups, regulators, labor unions, and community groups.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
25+ years of experience in the nuclear industry, with 6+ years of successful P&L executive management over $300 million.
Track record in achieving safety, cost and schedule performance on federal projects.
Demonstrated experience leading large organizations, including resource accountability over 2000+ employees
Manage federal facilities in an operations environment while also managing projects and sub-programs initiated by the client.
Must demonstrate a understanding of Department of Energy Conduct of Operations background in an operational environment.
Must have knowledge of financial metrics and operations-specific budget requirements.
Advanced Degree preferred.
Project Management Professional-PMP Certification from Project Management Institute-PMI (preferred).
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $252,432 to $334,011 per year. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
