Prepack Line Operator

Position Summary

General duties include proper packaging per case, ensuring that all boxes are taped and labeled as going to the conveyor belt. Filling of the hopper with product while ensuring that the screens are in place. All employees are to watch the lines for jam ups to prevent waste of product. Employees are responsible for keeping the areas clean, and at the end of each shift, for cleaning up and removing trash.

All employees are required to be in full uniform, including a bouffant cap, beard cover (as applicable), and gloves. Hearing protection is recommended.

Employees rotate responsibilities on a scheduled basis to create an ergonomically friendly work environment. Duties include preparing cases for filling, ensuring accurate numbers of pre-packs are included and properly lined in each case to guarantee correct box sealing. Completed cases are processed through the case sealer and then borne to the lift/conveyor. Additional responsibilities include filling the hopper with product.

Work involves light to medium physical effort: lifting up to 50 lbs, standing or walking for extended periods, and operating machinery or power tools in a noisy environment.

US Hourly Pay Range: $16 - $16 USD
