Job Title: Emergency Room Advanced Practice Professional (Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant)
Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The APP will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute medical and traumatic conditions, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments, including history-taking, physical exams, and review of diagnostic tests.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and point-of-care tests.
- Initiate treatment plans, including medications, procedures, and referrals, within scope of practice.
- Perform emergency procedures such as wound care, suturing, splinting, catheterization, and resuscitation support.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care and disposition.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, emergency preparedness, and continuing education.
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active NP or PA licensure in the state of employment.
- National certification as an NP or PA.
- Prior experience in emergency medicine or acute care preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred).
- Strong clinical judgment, ability to work in a high-acuity environment, and excellent communication skills.
- Emergency department setting with exposure to a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Team-based, interdisciplinary care model.

Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
