Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Telemetry position in Paducah, KY, requiring prior travel experience and cardiac telemetry expertise on nights.

• Hospital telemetry unit setting
• Cardiac telemetry patient population including pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, post-MI, and post cardiac angiogram patients
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Epic EMR required
• Floating to like units required
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, pre/post cardiac patient care, central line care and management, IV therapy, and phlebotomy
• Preferred skills include experience with pacemakers (temporary/permanent), TAVR, TR Band, heparin protocols, vasoactive and cardiac drip management, chest tubes, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy care
• Prior charge nurse experience is preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a different rate
• Former staff must wait 2 years before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Royal Blue scrubs required
• Candidates must schedule lab work within 2 days of signing and complete the appointment within 2 weeks of signing
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
• Holiday coverage expectations may apply

• Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with central line care and management
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required
• Date of birth required for consideration
