Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Telemetry position in Paducah, KY, requiring prior travel experience and cardiac telemetry expertise.

• Inpatient hospital telemetry unit setting
• Cardiac telemetry patient population requiring dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and pre/post cardiac patient care
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6
• Central line care and management performed on unit
• Epic EMR required
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Floating to like units required
• Responsibilities include pre/post cardiac patient care, central line care and management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and IV therapy
• Preferred skills include pacemaker management, post cardiac angiogram care, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery care, TAVR, heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, chest tube care, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy care
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Royal Blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former staff must wait 2 years before returning to this facility as a traveler
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; candidates within 75 miles may still be considered at a different rate
• Candidates are required to schedule their lab appointment within 2 days of signing and must complete the appointment within 2 weeks of signing

• Active KY or compact RN license required and must be in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and SSN documentation required for consideration
