Summary

Job Description:

Charge Nurse

12 hour shift/ 6pm-6am

The Charge Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing and supervising the unit activities for a specified shift

Essential Duties:

Assesses unit census, patient status, and staffing numbers.
Develops assignment of licensed/non-licensed that ensures adequate deliver of care
Addresses patient and staff concerns during shift
• Duties as assigned by Director
Assists team members in giving care to patients, or administers direct care when professional nursing skills and judgment is needed and performs technical aspects of care competently

Requirements

Three to five years job related experience
Current RN licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing
