RN or LPN Wound Care Nurse

Our facility is currently seeking an energetic, full-time RN/LPN wound care nurse to join our family at River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation!! We take pride in caring for our residents in their home. Joining our team is becoming part of a family.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8

Hours:

8 am - 4:30 pm

Primary Responsibilites:

As our wound care nurse you will be resonsible for the following:

• Weekly wound rounds with the wound care provider

• Peforming daily wound treatments

• Accurately measuring wound length, width, and depth

• Classifying and staging wounds based on appearance

• Maintaing up-to-date documentation for wound measurements

• Reviewing and printing weekly reports

• Entering and discontinuing treatment orders written by the provider

• Performing dressing changes in aspectic and/or sterile techniques

• Educating staff about resident wound status changes and proper ways to change dressings

• Organize wound supplies (dressings, ointments, bandages, etc.)

• Weekly wound care cart audits

Requirements:

• Must be willing to assist staff on the floor when needed

• Must be able to take call within a rotation

• Able to work independently as well as in a group

Education:

• KY Nurse license within good standing

• Minimum of 2 years wound care experience or related preferred

• Wound care certification preferred

• BLS: must maintain for employment
