Travel RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Paducah, KY, requiring BLS and ACLS with mandatory on-call rotation.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab performing comprehensive diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures,

• Procedures include angioplasty, stenting, EP interventions, pacemaker placement, valve procedures, and TEE,

• Pre-admission testing and patient education are also performed within the department,

• Schedule is four 10-hour day shifts per week ),

• On-call is mandatory and evenly distributed among the interventional team,

• On-call hours cover weekdays from  and weekends/holidays ,

Job Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or Compact RN license required,

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS,

• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred,

• Previous nursing experience preferred,

• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures,

• Proficiency or trainability with computer systems and clinical applications,

• MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration,

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, patient and family education, and coordination of admission, transfer, and discharge activities,

• Nursing practice is evidence-based and aligned with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines,

• Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors team members' performance of patient care activities,

• Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing,

• Holiday on-call coverage is required as part of the rotational schedule
