Travel RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab/Electrophysiology position in Paducah, KY, working four 10‑hour day shifts per week on a 13‑week contract.

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Ability to assess age‑specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures
• DOB (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a hospital environment, specializing in the Electrophysiology (EP) procedure area
• Comprehensive diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures performed, including angioplasty, stenting, EP interventions, pacemaker placement, valve procedures, and TEE
• Day shift schedule, 0700–1730, four 10‑hour shifts per week
• No on‑call requirements, though all scheduled EP patients for the day will be completed before end of shift
• 40 hours per week
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementing nursing interventions, patient and family education, and discharge coordination
• Collaborates with an inter‑professional care team to coordinate individualized treatment planning
• Participates in unit‑based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing
• Applies evidence‑based practice and clinical decision‑making across all four phases of the nursing process
• Previous nursing experience preferred but not explicitly required
