Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring KY or compact RN licensure and call coverage every other day and weekend.

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required per department compliance
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior CVOR experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

• Hospital-based Surgical Services department with 15 OR suites, including hybrid and cardiothoracic rooms
• Support areas include PACU, sterile supply, pharmacy, offices, and scheduling
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday,
• Call required every other day and every other weekend
• 26-week contract assignment
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, treatment, and care coordination throughout the surgical process
• Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Facilitate patient and family education, discharge planning, and coordination with case management
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
• Promote a positive, healing environment through nursing excellence and evidence-based practice
