Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of DOB required for consideration

• 16-bed PACU unit adjacent to the OR providing postoperative care to patients of all ages and acuities
• Supports general, vascular, orthopedic, urologic, ophthalmologic, oral/maxillofacial, plastic, gynecologic, cardio-thoracic, ENT, neurosurgical, dental, and bariatric surgical services, plus pain management and bronchoscopies
• 3x 12-hour day shifts per week,
• One weeknight call shift required per week
• Every 3rd weekend required, 12-hour shifts each day
• One holiday per year required
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized plans of care using the nursing process
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and coordinate discharge planning with case management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius to qualify for the travel pay rate, though local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
