Position Summary

The Regional Account Director will manage key accounts in assigned territory, educating healthcare institutions (primarily Hospitals, Surgery Centers, and Systems) and driving sales growth. In this field‑based role, you will collaborate with the Senior Directors of Marketing and Access Operations, as well as the Head of US Operations, to deliver integrated strategies. This role requires an entrepreneurial approach to account management, emphasizing relationship‑building and results in a lean, high‑autonomy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key accounts within assigned regions, focusing on educating hospitals, surgical centers, and healthcare systems on LXO products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers, including pharmacists, formulary committees, and C‑suite executives in target accounts.
  • Ensure Accounts have access with appropriate protocols in place for LXO US products.
  • Apply a solid understanding of reimbursement, contracting, and finance associated with the LXO US portfolio.
  • Create and execute tailored account strategies that align with LXO US's overall commercial objectives.
  • Meet or exceed individual and corporate goals assigned by the company and develop new opportunities within aligned accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Marketing and Market Access to deliver integrated messaging on product value, access, and reimbursement.
  • Conduct needs assessments and product presentations to educate stakeholders on LXO US products benefits within product label.
  • Monitor regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform adaptive sales tactics.
  • Ensure all interactions comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations, including proper documentation and reporting.
  • Leverage entrepreneurial mindset to identify and pursue new business opportunities in underserved regional markets.
  • Coordinate with the LXO US team for resource management and strategic alignment.
  • Analyze account performance data to refine approaches and report insights to leadership for broader organizational impact.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and regional events to expand network and promote LXO US products.
  • Mentor peers and collaborate on cross‑regional best practices to enhance team effectiveness in a lean organization.
  • Manage travel and expenses efficiently, prioritizing high‑potential accounts in line with LXO US's resource‑conscious culture.
  • Thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial organization by collaborating cross‑functionally with the US team, proactively taking ownership of initiatives beyond core functional responsibilities to drive overall company success.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., RN, RPh) a plus.
  • 7+ years of sales or account management experience in pharmaceuticals, with a focus on hospital or institutional accounts; experience in surgical, anesthesia, or antiemetic products preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed account objectives through strategic account planning and relationship management.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, formulary processes, and compliance standards (e.g., PDMA, HIPAA).
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills; proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting software.
  • Self‑motivated with an entrepreneurial drive; comfortable working independently in a small‑team setting.
  • Extensive travel required (up to 60%) within assigned regions; valid driver's license and ability to manage a home‑based office.
