The HVAC Wholesale Professional is a full-time, on-site role based in Paducah, KY, responsible for supporting HVAC contractors and trade customers with product selection, ordering, and solutions‑focused service. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include assisting customers at the counter and by phone, generating quotes, processing orders, and providing accurate product information and availability. This role will help manage inventory levels, support warehouse tasks such as receiving and stocking HVAC products, and ensure merchandise is organized and accessible.

The HVAC Wholesale Professional will build and maintain strong customer relationships, collaborate with sales and operations teams to meet branch goals, and proactively identify opportunities to grow sales. The position also involves using Ferguson systems and tools to track orders, process transactions, and maintain accurate records.

• Solid knowledge of HVAC products, components, and applications, with prior experience in HVAC wholesale, distribution, or the skilled trades strongly preferred.
• Customer service and relationship‑building skills, including the ability to listen, ask clarifying questions, and provide solution‑oriented support to trade professionals.
• Sales and negotiation abilities, including comfort with upselling, cross‑selling, and identifying additional product or service needs for customers.
• Basic business and computer skills, such as proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems, inventory or order‑entry software, and standard office applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues in sales, warehouse, and management.
• Organizational and time‑management skills, including the ability to handle multiple customer requests and tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, such as lifting and moving products in a warehouse or counter environment, following all safety procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training, HVAC certifications, or relevant trade experience are beneficial.
• Willingness to learn Ferguson systems, product lines, and best practices, and to pursue ongoing development within the HVAC and wholesale industry.
