Overview
2020 Companies, in partnership with our client Starlink, are hiring part-time Retail Sales & Activation Specialists. Compensation includes $17 per hour base pay, up to $4 per hour in performance bonus, and a total earning potential of up to $21 per hour. The role requires 16–20 hours per week with Friday to Sunday availability. Employment dates are 7/27/26 to 11/01/26, and the work location is Best Buy 817 – Paducah, KY 42001.
Aboutthe Role
In this role you will work closely with retail shoppers to recommend the perfect Starlink residential and mobile internet products that meet their unique needs. As the subject‑matter expert, you will provide customers with an interactive and informative shopping experience. Building relationships in a retail environment and maintaining a technology‑first mindset are essential as you explain the benefits of Starlink satellite internet.

- Engage customers and demonstrate the latest Starlink services, helping them see how they can enhance their internet needs
- Build trust and drive sales by understanding customer needs and confidently recommending the perfect Starlink service as a subject‑matter expert
- Represent Starlink and 2020 Companies with professionalism and a welcoming approach, fostering positive relationships with customers and store staff
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the team’s success
- Partner with retail sales associates and leaders, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment
- Track customer interactions, feedback, and sales electronically; submit daily reports using a mobile device
- Maintain a consistent weekend schedule, primarily Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts
- Foster positive relationships with field and store stakeholders, respecting local retail store environments and operational policies while representing 2020 Companies and Starlink
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of six months of experience in sales, electronics, retail, telecom, or marketing is preferred
- Ability to engage, demonstrate, and guide customers through the sales process is necessary
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills are essential
- Impeccable integrity and a genuine commitment to exceeding customer expectations are crucial
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced team environment
- Availability to work weekends
- Own a smartphone with current Apple iOS or Android software
- Reliable transportation to arrive on time for scheduled visits
