Job Overview

First-Line Fire Extinguisher Co. is seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Shop & Delivery Technician to join our Paducah operations team. This role is perfect for someone looking to break out of retail or warehouse work and build a long‑term career in the life‑safety industry.

In this position, you’ll receive hands‑on training to inspect, test, service, and repair fire extinguishers and suppression cylinders, while also supporting shop operations and making local deliveries. Responsibilities
  • Learn to inspect, test, service, and repair portable fire extinguishers and DOT‑specified suppression cylinders
  • Assist with cylinder handling, refilling processes, and equipment testing procedures
  • Manage shop inventory, including shipping, receiving, and tracking materials
  • Load and unload vendor deliveries and organize incoming stock
  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver tools, equipment, and products to technicians and customers
  • Provide professional customer service to walk‑in clients
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and inventory
  • Keep the production facility clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Follow all company policies and OSHA safety regulations
Qualifications
  • 1 year of construction experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Mechanically inclined with comfort using hand tools and basic shop equipment
  • Ability to safely lift and move 50+ pounds throughout the workday
  • Self‑starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Valid driver’s license that meets company insurance requirements
  • Ability to work in a shop environment and perform physical tasks daily
  • Background check will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable laws
  • $16.00 per hour (weekly pay cycle)

Work Schedule

Full‑Time

Monday – Friday

Standard daytime hours

Occasional overtime as needed

Work Location

Primary work location:
Paducah, KY (shop-based position)

Local deliveries within the surrounding service area

Must be able to reliably commute to the Paducah facility
