First-Line Fire Extinguisher Co. is seeking a mechanically inclined, motivated individual to join our Marine and Industrial division as a Lead Fire Systems Technician. This is a hands‑on opportunity to build a long term career in a highly specialized trade that protects lives, vessels, facilities, and critical industrial equipment.

No prior fire protection experience is required. We provide comprehensive paid training, all required tools, and a company vehicle after an initial training period. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving mechanical problems, and working in dynamic environments rather than sitting behind a desk, this role offers a clear path for professional growth and rapid pay progression based on your learning ability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Inspection:
    Install, inspect, service, and repair fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and fire alarm systems in marine and industrial environments.
  • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:
    Assist with system diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components.
  • Compliance Documentation:
    Accurately document inspections, repairs, and installations to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Team Coordination:
    Work collaboratively with senior technicians, subcontractors, and site managers.
  • Safety Adherence:
    Follow OSHA, MSHA, Coast Guard, and company safety protocols at all times.
  • Leadership Growth:
    Develop the skills necessary to eventually guide and support junior technicians or small crews.
  • Regional Mobility:
    Travel locally and regionally as needed for project work.
What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
  • Geographical Radius:
    Must live within 20 miles of Paducah, KY.
  • Technical Aptitude:
    Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
  • Credential Eligibility:
    Ability to obtain a Federal TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
  • Schedule Flexibility:
    Willingness to work alternative shifts and weekends when needed based on project demands.
  • Physical Capability:
    Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather and industrial conditions.
  • Safety Commitment:
    Commitment to strict safety compliance and protocols.
  • Logistics Infrastructure:
    Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
