Backend Software Development Engineer,reporting to the Development Lead.

The role is hubrid on a full-time basis.

As a Fides Development Engineer, you will be part of the core team responsible for building and enhancing norbloc’s data sharing platforms. You will collaborate with other developers, QA engineers, and product managers to design, implement, test, and deliver high-quality features. The role requires solid engineering skills, problem‑solving ability, and a proactive mindset to adapt to different client requirements and project contexts.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable features within the platform basis the product architecture and functionality.
• Collaborate with the Development and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and working solutions.
• Write clean, well‑tested, and maintainable code, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to the design and documentation of APIs and integrations of the platform.
• Optimize performance and security of the platform in line with client and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
• Ensure unit testing of all developed modules and services.
• Support troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of issues across multiple environments.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies to continuously improve platform capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js or Java/Spring, and modern frontend frameworks (Angular or React).
• Experience with relational databases (Postgre
  
  SQL preferred) and SQL optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in Fintech, Reg Tech or enterprise SaaS and familiarity with blockchain‑based platforms or distributed architectures will be considered as a plus.
