Position Overview

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM),
Warehouse Associates keep operations running smoothly by receiving, organizing, and safely loading materials with precision and pride. Join a fast‑paced, hands‑on team that values integrity, reliability, and career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service & Product Knowledge
    • Serve as a backup to the Inside Sales team by assisting customers with product inquiries, order entry, pricing, and quote preparation, keeping a high level of customer service daily.
    • Provide service to customers entering the warehouse.
    • Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services.
    • Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size.
  • Warehouse Operations & Maintenance
    • Perform minor building maintenance when necessary.
    • Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials.
    • Allocate and move material to its correct place and always ensure an orderly warehouse.
    • Maintain packing specifications and make suitable skids/pallets, etc.
    • Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories.
  • Safety
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
    • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Use proper lifting techniques.
    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing.
  • Trainings
    • Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping, and manipulation.
    • Occasional operation of forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day.
    • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. using proper lifting procedures.
    • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned.
  • Miscellaneous

    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
    • Building supply warehouse experience strongly preferred.
    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience and/or training.
    Compensation & Benefits

    Reports To: Branch Manager

    The pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications and cost of living. This is a full‑time position with competitive pay and benefits.
